All classes begin on time and last 90 minutes. No late entry.
First time students please arrive 15 minutes prior to class start time.latecomers are not permitted. Bring 2 large towels and a large bottle of water. These are also available at the studio , should you forget at £1
To practice on a full stomach will cause you to feel nausous. Equally if you come to class having not eaten for 3 or 4 hours, then your "fuel tank" will be empty within the first 20 minutes of class! You will spend the remaining hour or so on the floor.So you must prepare your body prior to class.
Eat slow releasing carbohydrates for energy.
Try not to eat 1 1/2 hours before class
If its been a long time since you've eaten then eat something. Porridge, cereals ,fruit or a flapjack .
Please do not attend class if you have not eaten for 4 or 5 hours, or you are fasting or detoxing. You will not feel good in class. If ,in order to loose weight your are currently practicing a very low calorie diet or are useing weight lose shakes as meal replacement, do not come to class during this time.It is your responsibility to arrive prepared, with enough food to fuel your body through this physically challenging class.
Take care to come to the class hydrated and with enough fluids to complete the class. Your experience will be much more beneficial and pleasant!
Let go of any great expectations for your first class, you are merely getting used to the heat. So pace yourself, during the 10 day period.
Finally, please let us know of any current injuries or conditions , so that we can take the best care of you. This yoga series is very powerful. It stimulates every cell, tissue and fibre of the body, which will give a very honest reaction to any muscular weakness or inbalance in the body. So start your practice in the right way, by accepting current condition/injuries, but working in the correct manner to move beyond that point.
Bikram yoga reserves the right to change schedule or cancel classes at short notice.or refuse entry. So please check this website for any changes. Please note that the Studio opens 30mins prior to class start. and closes 45 minutes after the class ends.
